PMBus Power-Supply Data Logger
MFR_MODE (D1h)
The MFR_MODE command is used to configure the device to support manufacturer-specific commands. Table 16
describes the MFR_MODE command. After this command is sent, another command should not be sent for at least
250ms.

FORCE_NV_FAULT_LOG
MEANING
Setting this bit to 1 forces the device to log data into the nonvolatile fault log. Once set, the
device clears this bit when the action is completed. The host must set again for subsequent
action. If an error occurs during this action, the device sets the CML bit in STATUS_BYTE
and STATUS_WORD; no bits are set in STATUS_CML.
Setting this bit to 1 forces the device to clear the nonvolatile fault log by writing FFh to all byte
locations. Once set, the device clears this bit when the action is completed. The host must set

CLEAR_NV_FAULT_LOG again for subsequent action. If an error occurs during this action, the device sets the CML bit
in STATUS_BYTE and STATUS_WORD; no bits are set in STATUS_CML. While clearing the
fault log, monitoring is stopped and commands should not be sent to the PMBus port.
These bits determine if the device should log every ADC result or skip some readings to
extend the time depth of the dat a buffer.

This bit must be set, then cleared and set again within 8ms for a soft reset to occur.
This bit must be set, then cleared and set again within 8ms for the device to become
password protected. This bit is cleared when the password is unlocked.
0 = Do not overwrite the NV Fault Log.
1 = Overwrite the NV Fault Log once it is full. Note: The device clears two fault logs at a time
when overwrite is enabled.
This bit always returns a 0.
Applies to all PGn outputs.
0 = PGn push-pull output.
1 = PGn open-drain output.
These bits always return a 0.
These bits determine which channels of ADC0 to ADC3 are enabled. Unused channels
should be connected to V SS . Whether voltage or current is monitored on the channel is
selected with th e IOUT_OC_FAULT_LIMIT command.
